Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP)
First up, Amazon KDP. When you create your account, you will have to include your banking information, tax information, and all your book’s metadata. Remember from Module 3, your metadata includes your book’s description, your keywords, and your categories—all of which are essential for making sure your book can be found by readers on the platform.
- Kindle eBooks: This is Amazon’s core platform for digital books. They have an app that readers can use on their phones, iPads, or other devices. The great thing about Kindle is it’s available in so many places and formats.
- Paperback: You can also publish a paperback version of your book through KDP. This is a print-on-demand service, which means Amazon only prints a copy when a reader orders one.
- Royalties: When it comes to royalties, you can earn up to 70% on your eBooks.
